Day 31

January 31, 2008

Third day in the office this week and I stayed so late it was dark outside.  Luckily I wasn’t working that whole time.  I had a conference call with my school group and I didn’t leave in time to get home for it, so I stayed.  This is the view from my desk.

Day 30

January 30, 2008

Vanessa messaged me today.  Made my day.  She one of my students from last year…probably the one I’m closest to.

Day 28

January 28, 2008

Zach made his first juice.  Pineapple-Strawberry.  It was good.

Day 27

January 27, 2008

I’ve been craving carrot juice lately (Thanks Dad for making me drink it while I was growing up), so Zach and I bought a juicer the other day. But what is the first thing I make? Orange juice. This is three oranges worth. Then I blended it up with bananas, strawberry yogurt and ice…..mmmm…..so good!

Bonus shot: The “Smoothie”

Day 26

January 26, 2008

Ron’s birthday. We took him to the airport bright and early. In fact, on the drive there it was pretty much dark, this is as the sun was coming up, toward the mountains, with the moon in view. Pretty cool.

Okay, I couldn’t resist posting some of the shots good to the airport and watching the sun rise. Enjoy.

(The shiny buildings are Downtown Denver….this is how far DIA is from Denver and the mountains!)And then we visited my parents later in the day after seeing two movies (Cloverfield and Atonement).  My dad was “my dad,” back in his old clothes that he wore my whole life. :-)

Day 25

January 25, 2008

Ron’s birthday is tomorrow, but he is leaving on an early flight for Oregon to be with his mom during her cancer of the uterus surgery next week, so we brought him dinner tonight. You can tell his has had an exhausting week.

One photo a day is sometimes hard….especially when there are some great memories in the others, so…I’m cheating a bit.

Zach felt left out when we got to his dad’s apartment and his dad was saying he had the plates and stuff and I had the pizza and drinks, so Zach pulls this banana out of his pocket and says….”I’ve got the banana.” It was so funny.

I also tried getting some good shots of Marco and Polo.  The two birds we gave Ron a few years back.

Day 24

January 24, 2008

The guy came to fix the microwave, but I thought it would be odd to take his photo, so instead I took a picture of Zach folding laundry. He looks thrilled, right?

A funny thing also happened tonight. I went to get the rest of my Spoonbender from Good Times out of the freezer and I get there and this is what I see:

I yell to Zach and he starts laughing and asks me, “What do you think I took my photo of?”  My poor custard! :-(

Day 23

January 23, 2008

I got my hair cut today.  I tried to take a picture of me and the hair while the dogs were eating dinner….but they are quick eaters and ended up joining me with in minutes. :-)   And Guinness likes to lick.  :-)

Day 22

January 22, 2008

Zach’s work computer crashed, reminding me that I haven’t backed my photos up. So I organized and copied to CD. I’ve got 2007 left to do, but I got 2003-2006 done.
